Giving Thanks & Fostering Relationships
Happy Thanksgiving from the leader in shade solutions! It has been a busy couple of months and we’ve been working feverishly on a top secret project. We’ve wanted to share this excitement on our social media outlets, but needed to keep this particular project under wraps. Now it’s finally time to lift back the curtain!
A couple of months ago, we were approached by our friends over at Provident General Contractors to partner with their team and REES Associates to fabricate the design for the Fourth Annual Bark + Build Competition. We didn’t hesitate to say YES and get to work!
This is a unique and exciting competition. The Bark + Build is presented by AIA Dallas and TEXO Association and serves to foster relationships between architecture and contractor firms, while raising awareness and support for SPCA of Texas.
Bark + Build Competition | Teacup Pup Category
There are five categories, and we have partnered to fabricate the most adorable “Teacup Pup” home. Our fabrication and coating teams poured themselves into this project over the past several weeks, from the fine tuning of the design, to fabrication and coating of the materials.
As in all success stories, it takes a team, and we couldn’t have achieved this without amazing support from our partners. The miniature shade sails were fabricated and donated by Modern Shade. The corrugated metal was gifted to the design by PAC-CLAD, and the coating for the deck was graciously provided by Quality Powder Coating. (no, that’s not wood, it’s powder coated aluminum!) These are wonderful, responsive partners of ours and we hope that you will support these companies for construction needs on your projects.
Come See the Bark + Build Exhibition in Person!
The houses will be exhibited at Northpark Centre from November 16th to December 2nd. There will be 25 homes displayed. You may bid on these homes through the online silent auction beginning on November 16th. Proceeds will benefit the SPCA of Texas.
How can you get involved? We need your votes! Go to Dallas Bark + Build to vote for the “Precious Fur-Go” home! We’d love for you to help us take home the “Teacup Pup” award as well as the “Top Dog” award by the SPCA.
