Specification Representative

PURPOSE
The Specification Representative will be responsible for generating specifications and project leads through interactions with members of the specification community by attending face to face meetings, delivering “Lunch and Learn” presentations and participation in industry events and organizations.

OBJECTIVES

  • Identify, initiate, build, and maintain relationships with key architects and other product specifiers to increase market share and bolster overall sales volume
  • Introduce Arch-Fab’s product lines and build brand awareness by making regular face to face calls to existing and new specifiers
  • Work independently, cooperatively, and enthusiastically toward the achievement of your individual objectives and the company’s overall goals
  • Work with internal account management team to develop architect targets and convert those targets to “specifying architects”
  • Schedule and conduct AIA-approved “Lunch and Learn” product knowledge sessions with architectural firms, other specifiers, and general contractors when appropriate
  • Demonstrate the highest level of customer service and professionalism
  • Generate and manage specifications from product selection through project completion
  • Monitor competition by gathering current information on products and pricing
  • Analyze client product needs, growth patterns, and market trends
  • Prioritize workflow with effective time management
  • Utilization of Salesforce CRM to track and report call activity, project tracking, and presentation scheduling
  • Active involvement with relevant industry related trade organizations and trade shows
  • Provide specification cross training to others across the organization as needed

ATTRIBUTES/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Marketing, Business Administration, or similar discipline preferred
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Overnight travel as required
  • Background in construction materials preferred
  • Architectural Specification or Design: 2 years (Preferred)

AEC (Architecture/Engineering/Construction)

Foreman

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to effectively and efficiently lead a team of installers.

OBJECTIVES

  • High understanding and passion for the direction of the company, its employees and its culture
  • Effectively coordinate and manage installation of assigned projects
  • Equip installers with the best tools, equipment and information to complete the assigned project
  • Effectively communicate with installers

Account Manager

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to effectively and efficiently manage/grow an assigned territory of general contractors and accounts.

OBJECTIVES

  • Maintain/Develop relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Search for projects with in your accounts/vertical market
    • Qualify and Prepare opportunities for the bid process
    • Perform takeoff and draft quote to submit to estimating
    • Send proposals to your accounts
  • Follow up on bids, obtain feedback and close opportunities
  • Review contracts received for addenda, amounts and turn into Accounting for processing.
  • Attend scope review meetings with clients
  • Provide solutions for accounts and help address budget / VE options to win business
  • Meet with Pre-Sale Manager regularly to review sales goals and activity.
  • Keep a calendar for scheduled events and meetings
  • Turnover closed won opportunities as projects to the Production Team
    • Set up and execute turnover meeting
    • Review submittals
    • Coordinate with accounts throughout project to ensure quality experience

Installer

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to provide necessary labor to install Architectural Fabrication’s pre-manufactured products on our clients’ job sites using safe & efficient methods.

OBJECTIVES

  • In interactions with customers and co-workers, maintain a positive attitude and high level of dependability and integrity.
  • Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple activities to meet deadlines. Work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Read blueprints, identify and prepare materials and supplies for install.
  • Safely transport materials to install sites on company vehicles and unload finished materials and equipment.
  • Maintain driver’s license.
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift 75 or more pounds frequently throughout the day.
  • Install awnings, sunshades, canopies per drawings and specifications.
  • Use the following equipment: scaffolding, elevated platforms, scissor lifts, ladders, and bucket or crane trucks.
  • Perform quality assurance post-production and post installation.
  • Effectively communicate onsite conditions to project management office.
  • Must be available for out of town, overnight work

EQUIPMENT

  • Tools required (not limited to): Tape measure, level, square, pliers, hammer, sockets
  • Tools provided through company lease: hand drill, impact driver and other necessary power tools
  • PPE to be issue by company: hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, and gloves
  • Become proficient in use of: forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, crank lift, tow trailer, saws, hammer drills, grinders, etc.

Staff Accountant

PURPOSE
The staff accountant computes and prepares data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions.

OBJECTIVES

  • Prepares general ledger journal entries, fixed asset tracking, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
  • Generates and files monthly financial reports.
  • Develops, analyzes, and prepares periodic financial statements for timely distribution to management.
  • Assists with accounts payable functions including but not limited to verifying invoices, expense reports, check requests, and purchase requisitions; entering data into accounts payable system; and processing weekly check runs.
  • Assists with accounts receivable functions including but not limited to applying payments to appropriate accounts, monthly invoicing, reconciling customer accounts, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Reconciles petty cash fund.
  • Assists with budget preparation.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly journals.
  • Performs daily banking procedures.
  • Maintains fixed asset and related depreciation schedules.
  • Prepares monthly tax returns.
  • Assists with annual external audits.
  • Analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts.
  • Prepares account analyses and reconciliation.
  • Coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
  • Reviews and analyzes the organization’s accounting operation; recommends improvements.
  • Assists with related special projects as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

ATTRIBUTES/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Minimum of one-year certificate from college or technical school, one to three years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, QuickBooks, Google Docs and Google mail.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Project Manager

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to organize and coordinate Architectural Fabrication’s projects for our clients using effective and efficient methods.

OBJECTIVES

  • Plan, organize and schedule activities to meet project objectives.
  • Ensures project details are well-documented and communicated to project personnel via the use of Salesforce.
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Manage staff assigned to project.
  • Plan and staff project operations based on scope of work and timeline.
  • Coordinate subcontracted services as necessary.
  • Motivate and monitor the progress of work performed by project staff.
  • Respond to external requests for information.
  • Plan and participate in meetings, discussion groups and other types of events to promote project visibility, including: Turnover Meetings, Jobsite Meetings and Weekly Production Meetings.
  • Serve as primary resource for project information and resolve problems or questions referred by internal and external sources as needed.
  • Establish and maintain an active network of professional contacts.
  • Promote and maintain standards for safety awareness and behavior.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative skills to assist in organizing and coordinating Architectural Fabrication’s projects for our clients using effective and efficient methods.

OBJECTIVES
