Project Manager

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to organize and coordinate Architectural Fabrication’s projects for our clients using effective and efficient methods.

OBJECTIVES

  • Plan, organize and schedule activities to meet project objectives.
  • Ensures project details are well-documented and communicated to project personnel via the use of Salesforce.
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Manage staff assigned to project.
  • Plan and staff project operations based on scope of work and timeline.
  • Coordinate subcontracted services as necessary.
  • Motivate and monitor the progress of work performed by project staff.
  • Respond to external requests for information.
  • Plan and participate in meetings, discussion groups and other types of events to promote project visibility, including: Turnover Meetings, Jobsite Meetings and Weekly Production Meetings.

Assistant Project Manager

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to work with the Project Managers to coordinate and accomplish the necessary project tasks and requirements.

OBJECTIVES

Drafter (3D CAD)

PURPOSE
Create design documents used to fabricate Architectural Fabrication products and assist designers with project design work.

OBJECTIVES

  • Creating detailed, complete, and accurate fabrication drawings of our products using parts and assemblies in Solidworks
  • Answering questions from the fabrication department about the drawings
  • After gaining experience with our products and fabrication capabilities, sharing design concerns with the designers
  • Assisting designers by creating ancillary design documents for projects
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or requested

ATTRIBUTES/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

Required

  • Two years of 3D CAD (preferably Solidworks) experience involving the creation of fabrication drawings
  • One year (two semesters) of 3D CAD (preferably Solidworks) education in High School, Technical college, or an Associates degree program
  • A combination of 3D CAD education and experience not meeting the minimum requirements listed above will also be considered
  • Knowledge of basic drafting principles

AEC (Architecture/Engineering/Construction)
Specification Representative

PURPOSE
The AEC Specification Representative will be responsible for generating specifications and project leads through interactions with members of the specification community by attending face to face meetings, delivering “Lunch and Learn” presentations and participation in industry events and organizations.

OBJECTIVES

  • Identify, initiate, build, and maintain relationships with key architects and other product specifiers to increase market share and bolster overall sales volume
  • Introduce Arch-Fab’s product lines and build brand awareness by making regular face to face calls to existing and new specifiers
  • Work independently, cooperatively, and enthusiastically toward the achievement of your individual objectives and the company’s overall goals
  • Work with internal account management team to develop architect targets and convert those targets to “specifying architects”
  • Schedule and conduct AIA-approved “Lunch and Learn” product knowledge sessions with architectural firms, other specifiers, and general contractors when appropriate
  • Demonstrate the highest level of customer service and professionalism
  • Generate and manage specifications from product selection through project completion
  • Monitor competition by gathering current information on products and pricing
  • Analyze client product needs, growth patterns, and market trends

Powder Coater Helper

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to provide the necessary support to Finishing – from preparation to completion of jobs.

  • Prepare, sand, hang and clean workpieces to prepare for powder

  • Select appropriate type of sheet metal, such as galvanized iron, copper, steel, aluminum
  • Measure appropriate size of sheet metal
  • Cut sheet metal by hand or using power shears
  • Cut into shapes to be used in

  • Smooth over rough edges with file

Salesforce Administrator

PURPOSE
Responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of various platforms, primarily Salesforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields, and other routine tasks
  • Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, and implement these changes as appropriate
  • Automate processes using Salesforce tools such as process builder, approval processes, validation rules, and Salesforce flow builder
  • Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization
  • Document customizations made in Salesforce

PURPOSE

Sheet Metal Fabricator

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to provide necessary labor and craftsmanship to fabricate Architectural Fabrication’s sheet metal products for our clients using safe & efficient methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sheet Metal products include, but are not limited to: flashing, fascia, standing seam, soffit, gutters, downspouts, etc.
  • Perform work in the shop or in the field.
  • Able to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple activities to meet deadlines.
  • Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products.
  • Measure, mark dimensions, and layout material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators, and squares.
  • Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, and drills.
  • Fasten seams and joints together in order to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
  • Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
  • Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and fabricating metal.

ATTRIBUTES/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and tools up to 50 lbs.

PURPOSE
The maintenance Technician is responsible for routine maintenance tasks. These tasks may include one or more of the following areas; equipment repair and maintenance, basic electrical, trailers, forklifts, building repairs and upkeep, lighting, sprinkler system, cleanup, and other maintenance needs as they arise.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to provide necessary labor and craftsmanship to fabricate Architectural Fabrication’s pre-manufactured products for our clients using safe & efficient methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In interactions with customers and co-workers, maintain a positive attitude, and high level of dependability and integrity.
  • Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple activities to meet deadlines. Work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Read shop drawings, identify and prepare materials and supplies for fabrication.
  • Welders use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
  • Position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
  • Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift 75 or more pounds frequently throughout the day.
    Perform quality assurance post-production.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Same as Powder Coater Level II with the addition of the following
  • Provides input to management about team members’ job performance/skill level
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Google Drive
  • Edit and close Work Orders
  • Ability to responsibly oversee and delegate tasks
  • Identify and develop team members’ strengths and weaknesses
  • Aid in employee evaluations
  • Ability to identify Arch-Fab product components and have a strong knowledge of their
    assembly
  • Ability to ensure proper quantities and maintain quality control
  • Inventory management: stock powders, supplies, etc.
  • Ability to follow and maintain production schedules
  • Assist management with HR functions such as hiring and disciplinary actions
  • Collaborate with Management and other leads to determine process improvements Required Equipment (Employee Provided):

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT (EMPLOYEE PROVIDED)

  • Hand Tools (Screwdrivers, socket sets, tape measures, angle finders, etc.)
  • Toolboxes
  • Power tools: Impacts, drills, grinders, battery packs (provided through a company lease
    program)

Estimator

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to accurately and efficiently produce cost estimates and quote proposals for projects in the construction industry. This position is an integral part of the Estimating team and reports to the Estimating Manager, rolling up to the Finance department.

OBJECTIVES

  • Ability to review construction drawings, specifications, and related documents.
  • Ability to review takeoffs and scope of work to ensure accuracy.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage tasks in CRM tool.
  • Ability to research and navigate in an ERP system for relevant cost research.
  • Identify and accurately determine the current cost of materials, labor, equipment, and travel costs.
  • Prepare cost estimates by understanding plans, requirements, and scope of work.
  • Document and note all estimation assumptions.
  • Produce timely and accurate quotations to Preconstruction team.
  • Clearly communicate with Preconstruction team.
  • Meet and exceed estimation bid timelines as established by Preconstruction team.
  • Collaboration with Supply Chain and Accounting Teams to obtain updated costs.
  • Attend turnover meetings as needed to provide estimation support.
  • Manage and support National Account estimates, quotes, and customer communication as needed.

ATTRIBUTES / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • 2 or more years of related construction industry experience
  • Prior experience reading plans, spec, and reference documents.
  • Advanced computer skills: On-Screen Takeoff, CRM/Salesforce, and G-Suite.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Proficient time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • BA in a relevant construction field will be a plus.

Estimating Coordinator

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to accurately review and prepare opportunities to be estimated, to effectively coordinate with internal Subject Matter Experts for data requests, and to efficiently procure timely quotations from external vendors. This position will also provide supplemental takeoff and estimating support as needed and is an integral part of the Estimating team that reports to the Estimating Manager, rolling up to the Finance department.
