Hometown Dolce Phase III

Hometown Dolce Phase III | Project of the Month

Hometown Dolce Phase III

January

The Project

In collaboration with Skyrise Construction and CNK Architects, Arch-Fab delivered multi-scope shade solutions for the 9-building mixed-use development, Hometown Dolce Phase III, which includes the Sovereign Hometown Apartments, in North Richland Hills, TX. Having contributed to earlier phases of this development, Arch-Fab was able to ensure Phase III was a smooth and seamless addition.

This project exemplifies how different product models can come together to provide shade, protect the building and residents from the elements, and enhance the aesthetic of a beautifully designed space. This project feature several of Arch-Fab’s most popular products, including our Atlas and Helios canopies with full shade coverage and internal drainage systems. These units were designed with projections ranging from 4′ to 7′ to accommodate different coverage needs, and some units were notched around building corners to optimize their spatial functionality.

Upon entry of the building one retail center, an Atlas canopy was designed with a radiused fascia and frame, along with deck pan and soffit notching around the building columns, which allowed the unit to provide shade and drainage while seamlessly wrapping around the curved façade. The lower and upper levels also include louvered sunshades with 1″x3″ shutter blades, color-matched to the window mullions and other building details, creating a cohesive look.

What we’re most proud of on this project includes the complex notching around the building corners or captured units between building walls, which were carefully designed, measured, cut, and installed to wrap and fit the building perfectly. Additionally, the mitered corners on the sunshade units align seamlessly with the building corners, and the Titan canopy and sunshade hybrid units offer the perfect balance of shade and aesthetic appeal.

Pulling off this level of precision and customization would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of Skyrise Construction and CNK Architects, as well as our amazing team at Arch-Fab!

The Watermere at Flower Mound

September

The Project

Integrated Real Estate Group, a distinguished property development and management company headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, sought to enhance The Watermere at Flower Mound, a retirement residence. They envisioned a project that combined functionality and aesthetics, ensuring a welcoming environment for the residents.

Integrated Real Estate Group required a range of architectural elements to achieve this vision, including Titan Canopies, Standing Seam Awnings, decorative brackets, and multiple Trellises (including cantilevered). The challenge lay in integrating these elements seamlessly into the design while meeting Integrated Real Estate Group’s high standards of quality and durability.

Arch-Fab took on the challenge by meticulously designing, fabricating, and installing the diverse range of products specified by Integrated Real Estate Group. Our team ensured each element met the specific requirements of the project and aligned with the overall architectural vision. The Titan Canopies provided both architectural appeal and weather protection, crafted from robust 6063 Aluminum Alloy.

The Standing Seam Awnings were carefully designed to contribute to the aesthetic plus offer functional shade. The three cantilevered Trellises offer shady spots to rest on the Wateremere’s walking trail, and the two additional Trellises on the property contribute to year-round enjoyment of the outdoor environment for residents. Bringing the entire building design together, the decorative brackets create a cohesive aesthetic across the campus.
