The Terraces at Solana

The Project

Scott + Reid General Contractors were looking for a custom design to act as both a sunshade and an equipment screen. Because the building was already standing, they wanted something lightweight that wouldn’t require additional work on the structure of the building. Since a fireplace fan was being hidden, it was necessary to create a design that would both look aesthetically pleasing and still allow the fan to do its job safely.

The Origin

The project was brought to us by Scott + Reid General Contractors, due to our long standing relationship and the quality of work we provide. Scott + Reid is a unique General Contractor with a location in Addison, with a focus on collaboration and strong communication. Their approach minimizes construction disruptions and truly aims to realize the vision of the project.

The Solution

We designed, fabricated, and installed a custom sunshade that would double as an equipment screen. To create this custom solution in order to give the equipment ample space to breathe, we created 8 units spanning 40’ with a 48” facia and a 2’6” projection. With a powder coat finish, our custom sunshade provided a beautiful solution.

The Products

  • Custom Sunshade & Equipment Screen
  • White Powder Coat Finish

The Results

The awnings truly look stunning at the Electric Fox Headquarters and were completed on time. Since working on Fox Electric Headquarters, Arch-Fab has continued to build a strong relationship with both Bob Moore Construction and RGA Architects and has partnered with both on several additional projects.
